PURPOSE: To prevent apparatus in a cage from damaged due to a fire when an emergency elevator is lifted or lowered to a story on which a fire detector is operated by running the elevator while the cage door is kept opened, and opening manually an elevator stop door of the story on fire so that the stop door is closed by a self-closing force.
CONSTITUTION: If a temperature at an elevator stop of a third story on fire exceeds a specified value, the primary fire fighting exclusive running is not started even if a fire fighter depresses a third story cage-calling button switch S3. When the fire fighter further closes a fire fighting running key switch K2, a relay F2 for secondary fire fighting running command is energized, and a cage calling detecting relay C3 is energized by depressing the third story cage calling button switch S3, to start the secondary fire fighting exclusive running. Since a relay AD for commandingly blocking a cage door from closing is then deenergized, the cage travels to the third story while the cage door is kept opened. Since the cage door is open when reaching the third story, an elevator stop door engageably driven usually by the cage door is closed and after the fire fighter manually opens the elevator stop door and gets off to the third story stop, the stop door is again closed by a self-closing device.
