Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an operating device for an observation elevator, which enables the elevator to be automatically suspended and returned when a pane of glass covering the elevator is broken.
CONSTITUTION: Glass sensor groups 1 and 2 are bonded on panes of glass attached to a car and a hoistway. The energization of a detection relay 3 detecting that the sensor groups have detected a specified vibration frequency due to the damage of the pane of glass so as to have acted, causes the contact point of a return command generating circuit 5 to be closed, so that the elevator is operated so as to be returned. After the elevator has been returned, let passengers get off the cap by a guide means 10, and a subsequent operation is prohibited by an operation suspension circuit 9 thereafter. An unusual situation is automatically reported to a manager and the like by an emergency report means 11.
