PURPOSE: To improve operability regardless of a kind of a searchlight and to prevent wear of the operation part, in an operation device to regulate the angle of elevation and a revolution angle of the searchlight from the interior of a room.

CONSTITUTION: An operation shaft 5 fixed to an elevation arm 4 to rotate a searchlight in an elevation and a revolution direction is extended through a ship hull and operated by an operation handle 6 fixed to the tip thereof. A clamp base 7 and a fastening handle 8 are arranged to fix the operation shaft 5 in a given position. A resilient member 9 formed of rubber, plastic, cloth and wood is located to a part making contact with the operation shaft 5 of a crank base 7. Even when break phenomenon of the search light owing to displacement between the support position and the center of gravity of the search light occurs, a brake force is exerted on movement of the operation shaft 5 through the force of the resilient member 9 and stable fine adjustment of the operation shaft 5 can take place.
