This operating device for a Swedish sounding tester is provided with a lower support pedestal 1 to be placed on the ground, a support frame 8 stood from the lower support pedestal 1, an upper loading table 11 provided in the upper end of the support frame 8, an intermediate loading table 18 provided in the support frame 8 between the upper loading table 11 and the lower support pedestal 1 freely to be vertically moved and possible to be fixed to the support frame 8, a rod 4 to be loosely inserted into the lower support pedestal 11, the intermediate loading table 18 and the upper loading table 11 and having a screw point 3 fitted to a tip thereof, a motor 22 having a hollow output shaft 22a, in which the rod 4 is to be inserted, and a collet chuck 26 for fixing the rod 4 to the hollow output shaft 22a of the motor 22. In the condition that the rod 4 is fixed to the hollow output shaft 22a of the motor 22, other rod 4a can be connected to an upper end of the rod 4.
