Abstract:

PURPOSE: To form an accurate operating locus of the welding robot by specify ing only a weld line from welding candidate segments displayed on a display screen.
CONSTITUTION: A work figure is displayed on the display screen 5, a part made to be a base is specified from the segments to constitute the work figure displayed, the weld face of this base part is calculated by a base weld face arithmetic means and the face to come into contact with the base part is extracted by a contact plane extracting means from the faces of other parts. This is discriminated from other segments and displayed as the welding candidate segments, only the segment to be welded is specified from these welding candidate segments and only the weld line is extracted and displayed. Consequently, the accurate operating locus of the welding robot can be formed without being confused with other segments by the discriminated and displayed segment.
