Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make the stable operation of a blast furnace possible by tracking the process of raw material conveyance, determining the raw material components at the charging point, determining the ratio of charging amounts of iron and carbon and basicity and controlling these in such a way that they coincide with set values.

CONSTITUTION: The chemical component of raw material charged into a blast furnace are actually measured with time en route from a sintering shop for raw materials such as sintered ore, and a coke production shop up to the blast furnace. The movement of the raw materials in the process of conveyance up to the blast furnace is tracked. Then, the chemical component of the raw materials which are charged momentarily into the blast furnace can be determined. In accordance with these chemical components, the ratio of iron charging amt. and carbon charging amt. and basicity (CaO/SiO2) are determined. In order to allow these to coincide with set values, the charging amt. of coke or iron ore or both thereof are controlled with respect to the former and the charging amts. of auxiliary raw materials contg. CaO or SiO2 for the latter.
