PURPOSE: To eliminate the deviation in iron tapping holes and to stabilizes the blast furnace operation by judging the extent of fall-down through plural thermometers arranged at the furnace bottom part and detecting defective flow part of molten iron, in the case of falling down of the stuck material on a shaft part.
CONSTITUTION: Plural thermometers are arranged to the shaft part of a blast furnace, and the fall-down of the stuck material on the shaft part is detected through temp. variation. At this time, further, correlation between the measured temps. of the adjacent thermometers is calculated with plural thermometers 13 arranged to the furnace bottom part. By this method, the vol. of the fall-down is judged and the defective flow part of the molten iron on the furnace hearth is detected. To this defective flow part caused at the low permeable layer of the molten iron accompanying the fall-down of this stuck material, the ratio of coak to ore in the raw material charging range at the furnace top corresponding to this defective flow part is lowered. By this method, the coke layer at this part is thicknened and the temp. of the defective flow part of the molten iron is lowered and this trouble is quickly eliminated and the deviation among the iron tapping holes (6-1)-(6-4) can be eliminated.
