To provide an operation body for an opening/closing device capable of preventing the opening/closing body from being incorrectly operated or an operation key from being lost owing to the lost key.
The operation body is provided with a case body 10 having an opening part 10a at the surface side, a cover member 50 making the opening part 10a openable or closable, and a key switch part 24 operated by the operation key 24a arranged in the inner side of the case body 10 than the cover member 50 and inserted from the outside. In the operation body for the opening/closing device making it possible to control the opening/closing body by the operation of the key switch part 24, the operation key 24a in the inserted condition is forced to interfere with the cover member 50 so as to prevent the cover member 50 of the inserted condition of the operation key 24a from being closed.
