The operation button includes: a switch element 30 having a displacement portion 34 capable of displacement in a particular direction; an operation button 20 for press-operating the displacement portion 34; and a holding member 10 for holing the operation button. The operation button 20 includes: a button body 22 held by the holding member 10; and a transmission portion 24 for transmitting a pressing operation force from the button body 22 to the displacement portion 34. The transmission portion 24 is coupled to the button body 22 in a manner that enables relative displacement in a direction perpendicular to the pressing operation direction for the button body 22.
