PURPOSE: To allow a user to easily move from an optional floor to another optional floor by stopping an elevator car provided with an even-floor car call registering device or an odd-floor car call registering device depending on whether the destination floor is an even floor or an odd floor at a landing call issuing floor.

CONSTITUTION: When a user operates an even-floor upward landing call button at a first-floor landing to go to the eighth floor, an operation control device 2 stops the even-floor upward car 4U of a double deck elevator 4 at the first floor and opens the door. When the user gets in and operates the eighth-floor button of a car call registering device 5U, the car call is registered, and the control to lift the upward car 4U and stop it at the eighth floor is started. When an upward even-floor landing call register button is operated at the midway fifth floor during this operation, the upward car 4U is allocated in response to the landing call at the fifth floor, and a user going to the sixth floor gets in the upward car 4U.
