Abstract:

To provide an operation control device of a multiple cylinder engine having a long service life and a reduced power-consumption and outstanding response to an acceleration/deceleration.

The multiple cylinder engine 10 composed of cylinders 10a, 10b, 10c, 10d is controlled by an operation control device 30a. Throttle valves 21a-21d are provided in the intake pipes 15a-15d installed for respective cylinders of the engine 10, and the valve travel is controlled by motors 20a-20d. The operation control device 30a is provided with a microprocessor 31, a program memory 32a, and a data memory 33. The motors 20a-20d for respective cylinders are on/off-controlled on the basis of data stored in the data memory 33 for correcting variation in intake-resistance of the intake pipes for respective cylinders and in response to the degree of stepping on an accelerator pedal.
