PURPOSE: To discharge remaining grains, dropped and discharged into a hot air drier at the lower part of a grain drier, automatically to the outside of the drier by the opening operation of an on/off valve for a cooling device at the upper part of the drier.
CONSTITUTION: When no grain is detected in a cooling device 4 at the upper part of a grain drier and a hot air drier 7 at the lower part of the same, an on/off valve 3 for said cooling device 4 is opened to drop and supply remaining grains on the on/off valve 3 into said hot air drier 7 and a predetermined period of time has elapsed after the remaining grains are discharged automatically to the outside of the drier, the grain drier is controlled so as to be stopped automatically. Accordingly, the remaining dried grains of this time will never be mixed with grains to be dried next time and the remaining grains will never be dried again whereby the cracking of the remaining grains will never be generated.
