Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve economical efficiency of a pumped storage power station, to relieve influence upon nature environment, and to prevent lowering of reliability as a fail-safe device.
SOLUTION: In a reversible pumpturbine system provided with an inlet value and a flow regulating device for regulating and controlling the flow of the reversible pumpturbine turbine connected to a generator motor, the closing start time of the inlet valve in case of emergency stop is switched according to the operation mode of the reversible pumpturbine.
