PURPOSE: To shorten washing time by varying the time till start of dedhydration after reset of a water level detecting means at the time of draining, according to a load quantity judged by a load judging means.
CONSTITUTION: A washing machine having a water level detecting means for catching a change of pressure by water level and a load judging means, and setting the feed quantity according to a load quantity detected by the load judging means is provided. The time till start of dehydration after reset of the water level detecting means 20 at the time of draining is varied according to the load quantity judged by the load judging means. Hence, when the load quantity is less, the time till start of dehydration after reset of the water level detecting means is shortened, so that washing time can be shortened. When the load quantity is large, the time till start of dehydration after the reset is extended to conduct sufficient draining, so that the dehydrating solution is never bubbled.
