PURPOSE: To provide an operation control system whereby communication time in a new type system is shortened, that is, communication speed is increased while holding interchangeability between the new type system and a conventional system.

CONSTITUTION: The system is constituted of a sensor box 2, a register terminal 3 with two different data communication modes in correspondence with the communication speed of automatic pickup data and an on-vehicle adapter 4 capable of transmitting automatic pickup data communication possibility judging signal which is mutually transmitted between the register terminal and the sensor box 2 to respective opposite stations as it is. Moreover, the register terminal 3 is provided with a communication mode reading means which reads the other communication mode of the sensor box 2 and a data communication mode converting means which converts the one present communication mode of the register terminal 3 into the other communication mode in accordance with the communication mode of the sensor box.
