CONSTITUTION: A pump plant remote monitor/control equipment prepared for a basin where plural pump plants are included and the branch basins of these plants are cooperation with each other through plural canals, regulation reservoirs, etc., is provided with a basin state estimation/simulation means 610 which has a physical model of an entire basin and also calculates the evaluation functions for the water levels and the operations of equipments based on the output of the means 610. Furthermore, a basin equipment control optimizing means 620 consisting of a gate equipment optimizing means 621 which calculates an optimum gate equipment control pattern covering the present time through a designated future time point and a pump plant control optimizing means 622 which calculates an optimum pump equipment control pattern covering the present time through a designated future time point is provided.
