To provide an operation device for preventing an operating knob from getting loose against a body part, and, meanwhile, preventing hindrance to a rocking movement and operating feeling of an operating shaft.
The operation device 1 includes a joystick 6, a guide member 7, an operating knob 8, and a buffer member 9. The joystick 6 includes a body part 14, an operating shaft 15 supported by the body part 14 in free rocking around one end part 15a, and a plurality of detecting switches 16 fitted in a peripheral direction with the one end part 15a of the operating shaft 15 as the center. The guide member 7 is superposed on the body part 14 and guides a rocking direction of the operating shaft 15. The operating knob 8 is mounted on the other end part 15b of the operating shaft 15. The buffer member 9 is provided between the operating knob 8 and the guide member 7. Concave parts 20 are provided at positions where the operating shaft 15 rocked toward a position enabling the detecting switches 16 to detect is overlapped, at an end face 19a opposed the operating knob 8 of the guide member 7.
