To provide a displaying apparatus of a liquid crystal panel the visibility of which is excellent as an operation displaying apparatus for a washing machine.
This operation displaying apparatus for washing machine is equipped with an operation display panel 22, a control apparatus 23, a switch 28 and the liquid crystal panel 27. In this case, the operation display panel 22 has an operation button section 30 and a display section 32. The control apparatus 23 controls the operation of a washing machine. The switch 28 is arranged at a corresponding position to the operation button section 30 which is arranged under the operation display panel 22. The liquid crystal panel 27 displays the setting conditions of washing, rinsing and water expulsion, and a remaining period of time and so forth. The control apparatus 23 has a voltage adjusting section 41 which can adjust the applying power source voltage for the liquid crystal panel 27. The operation displaying apparatus for washing machine is constituted in such a manner that the applying power source voltage can freely be set by operating the switch 28 of the operation button section 30 of the operation display panel 22. Therefore, the contrast for characters and pictures or the like which are displayed on the liquid crystal panel 27 can be adjusted to an optimal value depending on a watching position and a watching height for the liquid crystal panel 27.
