An operator turns a knob 48 to select a menu displayed on a liquid crystal display unit 36. If the operator does not perform any operation for a predetermined time period thereafter, a CPU of a control apparatus causes information about a start button 50 to be depressed next by the operator to be displayed on the liquid crystal display unit 36. Thereby, after selecting the menu, the operator can recognize necessity of depressing the start button 50 even without knowing depression of the start button 50, and can depress the start button 50. Further, information related to the start button 50 is automatically displayed on the liquid crystal display unit 36 and thus the operator is not required to perform operation for receiving the information.
