To easily perform transfer of data between storage devices in a computer to facilitate operation of the computer.
An HDD (Hard disc) 150 storing data including an operating system and having an SATA-IF 154 is internally connected with a CP 100 through the SATA-IF. An SSD (Solid State Drive) 250 having an SATA-IF 254 and a USB-IF 259 and having a prescribed storage area is externally connected to a USB-IF of the CP 100. In this state, the CP 100, the HDD 150, and the SSD 250 are operated, and the data including the operating system stored in the HDD 150 are transferred to the SSD 250. After the transfer of the data, the HDD 150 is uninstalled from the CP 100, the SSD 250 is uninstalled from the CP 100, and next, the SSD 250 is connected to an SATA-IF inside the CP 100. Thereafter, the CP 100 is operated by use of the operating system transferred to the SSD 250.
