To provide an operation method of an electric stove capable of heating a body from inside with small power consumption by using a ceramic sheath heater exhibiting a high heat storage property and a large amount of radiation of far infrared rays.

Two ceramic sheath heaters are used as heating elements 5a, 5b, and the heating elements 5a, 5b are continuously operated from power source ON to generate heat to a prescribed heating temperature zone. Then one pattern composed of an intermittent operation for alternately switching on and off the heating elements 5a, 5b by every prescribed time and a continuous operation for switching on the heating elements for a prescribed time, is repeated to keep the prescribed temperature zone.
