Abstract:

To provide a method for calculating, in conducting hydrocracking of a wax fraction from the synthetic oil (FT synthetic oil) produced by the Fischer-Tropsch synthetic process, the cracking ratio in a short time and simply, and further to provide a method for controlling the progression of the hydrocracking according to the calculated cracking ratio.

The Fischer-Tropsch synthetic oil is fractionated into an intermediate fraction and a wax fraction, then the wax fraction is subjected to hydrocracking and a predetermined hydrocarbon composition in the gases of the obtained hydrocrackig oil is measured. The cracking ratio of the hydrocracking reaction is calculated from the predetermined hydrocarbon composition, and the operation conditions of a hydrocracking reactor are controlled so that the calculated cracking ratio may become the targeted cracking ratio.
