To establish a method for operating a fuel power generator and a power storage device in a natural energy power generating system built in a fuel power generator.
A method for operating the natural energy power generating system comprises the steps of: supplying a power to a load 2 by suppressing the output change of the natural energy generator 2 for generating the power by directly utilizing the natural energy by a power storage unit 1; controlling charging/discharging of the power storage unit so as to minimize the power generating quantity of the fuel power generator to supplement the insufficient power of the natural power generator from the power storage unit by the fuel power generator 3 by using a fuel; limiting the charging/discharging quantity based on the value decided from the characteristics of the power storage unit; utilizing the natural energy generator to the maximum limit; limiting the charging/discharging quantity in response to the operating state of the power storage unit; and minimizing the power generating quantity of the fuel power generating unit.
