To eliminate a battery of a sensor part and wiring between a sensor and a data acquiring device in an operation monitoring system.
The system comprises a sensor 1 mounted on targeted equipment; a diagnosis device 21 for transmitting and receiving a signal to and from the sensor 1; and a host computer 40 connected to the diagnosis device 21. The sensor 1 comprises a self-power generation module 2 for generating power by utilizing energy emitted from the equipment; a storage module 3 for storing the generated power; a measurement means 4 for measuring a physical quantity of the equipment; a computing module 5 for computing a signal of the physical quantity measured by the measurement means 4 by using the power stored in the module 3; a memory 6 for storing a computed result; and a communication module 7 for radio-transmitting the result computed by the module 3. The diagnosis device 21 comprises a communication module 28 for receiving data transmitted from the sensor 1; a memory 24 for storing the received data; and a computing module 22 for comparing the received data with a reference value.
