Abstract:
PURPOSE: To stably operate an oxygen blast furnace, by specifying the size distribution of briquettes and sintered ore to be charged into the oxygen blast furnace.
CONSTITUTION: Ore to be charged into an oxygen blast furnace is composed of briquettes of 5W50mm size and sintered ore of 5W70mm size, the amt. of briquettes of 30W50mm size is regulated to 5W80% of the total amt. of the briquettes to be charged and the amt. of sintered ore of 50W70mm size to 5W60% of the total amt. of the sintered ore to be charged. Thus, the cost required to treat starting materials can be reduced by about 10% and the blast furnace is stably operated.
