To provide an operation panel device of an elevator capable of preventing a door of an operation box from being damaged also when passengers step down the elevator even if the door of the operation box is not removed.

The hinged door 2 of the operation box 4 installed at the opening part of an operation panel front board 1 of the elevator comprises a torsion spring 8 having one end fitted to the door and the other end fitted to the opening part so that a torque can be generated in a direction reverse to the opening direction of the door 2. Accordingly, since the door 2 is always kept closed unless an external force is applied thereto, persons and objects do not touch the door, and the door 2 of the operation box 4 cannot be damaged also when the passengers step on and down the elevator.
