This operation support system is provided with a means for storing operation procedure data including target equipment identification information, and for storing the target equipment identification information and misrecognition prevention processing content in association with each other and a system diagram display means for extracting the target equipment identification information from the operation procedure data in displaying a picture of a system, and for, when misrecognition prevention processing content associated with the target equipment identification information exists, displaying the misrecognition prevention processing content as well as a symbol corresponding to the target equipment identification information.
