A manual/motor operation switching device for a motor-driven shutter is composed of a case body 13 having a storage part 12 in a front plate 11, a sliding plate 14 that can be vertically elevated being connected to a wire 10 connected to a clutch, a lever 15 enclosed in the storage part 12, an engaging means 16, lock mechanism 17, and a reset spring 18. At the time of a power failure or the like, the lever 15 is rotated to move the sliding plate 14 down by a locking part 29 through an engaging means 15 so as to be locked in a manual state by lock mechanism 17. When the lock mechanism 17 is released, the sliding plate 15 is moved up by the reset spring 18 and reset into the original motor-driven state.
