To provide an operation terminal capable of browsing a web page related to a broadcast program corresponding to a selected channel while the remote control of selecting a channel of a television receiver is performed.

The operation terminal includes: an operation entry section 26 capable of attaining television channel selective operations; an Ir communication section 27 for transmitting a signal for remotely controlling the television receiver; and a display section 29 for downloading a web page related to a broadcast program from the Internet and displaying the web page. A control section 25 periodically acquires an electronic program guide from the Internet and stores the electronic program guide to an EEPROM 24 or the like. Further, when the control section 25 recognizes the channel selective operation by the operation entry section 26, the control section 25 allows the Ir communication section 27 to transmit the remote control signal corresponding to the selected channel, acquires a URL of the web page related to the broadcast program corresponding to the selected channel from the stored electronic program guide, downloads the web page from the Internet on the basis of the URL and allows the display section 29 to display the web page.
