PURPOSE: To prevent reversing of an index meter or the like of a camera when a film is rewound, by providing an operation transmitting device which can vary the manipulated variable of a shake member in accordance with change of the rotation direction.

CONSTITUTION: A collar as an automatic switching member is fitted to a body part 15b of a cam 15 so that this collar 41 can be slided frictionally on the body part 15b. A projecting piece 42 having a deep notch part 43a and a shallow notch part 43b is formed on the collar 41, and a pin 16c on the lower face of a shake lever 16 is engaged with these notch parts to transmit operations. When the collar 41 is charged counterclockwise by the cam 15, the notch part 43a is held in the position where it is detained by the pin 16c, and the shake lever 16 is shaked for every half rotation of the cam 15. When the cam 15 is rotated clockwise, the collar 41 is slided clockwise also, and the notch part 43b is detained by the pin 16c, and in this state, the shake lever 16 is hardly operated, and consequently, an index plate is not rotated.
