A function unit 8 provided with manual setting operation elements 9, 10, 11 is arranged in a mechanically movable drawer unit in an operation unit 1. The drawer unit is supported by rollers and can be linearly moved in the operation unit 1 by an electric drive section, and the electric drive section is controlled by a control unit 12. When the control unit 12 identifies that an operation element 2 selects an automatic mode, the control unit 12 returns the function unit 8 of the operation unit 1 into the operation unit 1 to mask the operation elements 9, 10, 11 so that they cannot be seen and operated by a driver. The number of operation elements compelling selection can be reduced, and the environment excellent in operability can be formed.
