Abstract:
To execute a stable scrap melting operation having low unit requirement of carbonaceous material without hanging by using a vertical type scrap melting furnace.
The carbonaceous material 11 for melting and carburizing is charged at 50-80% into the center part in a horizontal cross section of the melting furnace 1 and the remained carbonaceous material is charged into the part contacting with the inner wall of the melting furnace 1 to operate the vertical type scrap melting furnace.
