To accurately determine a position of a measuring portion inside an eye to be examined even when properties of interference light are changed as time passes.
An ophthalmic apparatus includes: optical measurement systems (24, 72, 48) for irradiating the inside of an eye to be examined with light from a light source 12 and guiding the reflected light; optical reference systems (24, 22) for guiding the light from the light source as reference light; optical calibration systems (24, 72, 74) for guiding the light from the light source; a light receiving element 26 which receives an interference light for measurement synthesized by both the reflected light guided by the optical measurement systems and the reference light guided by the optical reference systems, and also receives an interference light for calibration synthesized by calibration light guided by the optical calibration systems and the reference light guided by the optical reference systems; and a processor which determines a position of a measuring portion inside the eye to be examined by the interference light for measurement and the interference light for calibration received by the light receiving element.
