To provide an opposed-piston disk brake enabling the easy machining of an oil passage (communication passage) allowing the cylinders of an inner caliper and an outer caliper to communicate with each other and also enabling the reliable air bleeding.
Cylinder connection oil passages 10 joined to the cylinders 5 of the inner caliper 2 and the outer caliper 3, respectively, are formed of respective cores when the calipers are cast. Each cylinder connection oil passage 10 extends radially outward of the disk from the bottom of the cylinder 5 to an installation point for a passage communication hole 13. The front end of the extended oil passage is joined directly to the passage communication hole 13 formed in a bridge part 4. With a caliper body mounted on a vehicle, the top part of the inner wall surface of the passage communication hole 13 on the top side is positioned higher than the front end of the cylinder connection oil passage 10.
