PURPOSE: To correct a deviation in an image pickup point of a camera of a called station by correcting automatically a delay time caused by a time from the operation of a camera operation panel of its own station till a universal head of the called station is moved and a time till a video image of the opposite camera is displayed on a monitor of its own station.

CONSTITUTION: The system is provided with a camera control panel 4A(4B) to designate the image pickup position of a camera 2A(2B), a camera controller 5A(5B) which measures a transmission delay time till the controller 5A(5B) receives a camera control signal from the camera control panel 4A(4B) and controls a camera 2B(2A) of an opposite station and receives a camera control signal from a called party to control the camera, a transmitter 6A(6B) which multiplexes a video/audio signal of its own station and the camera control signal, outputs the multiplexed signal to a satellite line 7, and demultiplexes the video/audio signal and the camera control signal from a received signal through the satellite line 7, and a camera system having a universal head 3A(3B), the camera 2A(2B) and a monitor 1A(1B).
