Abstract:

To provide an optical assembly and an illumination device corresponding to the same for changing the size of an illumination spot while obtaining an excellent output.

The optical assembly has a fixed support body (40); an optical focus element (44); and a reflecting mirror (42) suitable for reflecting an incident beam (F1) toward the element (44) so as to focus the beam (F1) onto an illumination plane (P). The mirror (42) is movable against the support body (40). The element (44) is movable against the support body (40). The optical assembly has a means to joint the element (44) to the mirror (42) in such a manner as to enable them to move synchronously. The illumination device is used for an illumination in a medical field.
