Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical axis adjustment device for a semiconductor laser which serves as the light source of an optical pickup.
SOLUTION: A semiconductor laser 1 and a diffraction grating 2 are housed in the same package 3. The package 3 is arranged in a case 5 which is fixed in a housing. A supporting part which presses and supports the front outer circumference of the package 3 is arranged by being pressed with a spring 6 in the case 5. The front outer circumference of the package 3 and the abutting and supporting face of the supporting member 4 are formed in a spherical shape. The package 3 is so supported by the case 5 that the package 3 is adjustable in position back and forth and in the rotational direction, and the package 3 is fixed on the case 5 after the package 3 is adjusted in position.
