Title:
OPTICAL CARD FITTED WITH IC
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3608825
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent visual deterioration when an IC module is embedded on the side opposite to an optical recording surface.
CONSTITUTION: An optical card fitted with an IC is constituted by forming a surface cured layer 6 on the upper surface of a transparent protective layer 5 and forming an optical recording part 1 on the rear surface thereof and laminating a card base material 4 to the transparent protective layer so as to cover the optical recording part 1 and embedding an IC module 2 in the recessed part 7 formed from the rear side of the card base material 4 in a region other than the optical recording part 1. The surface cured layer 6 is shaved at least at the part corresponding to the rear surface of the IC module 2 to form a concealing layer 3 or at least the part corresponding to the rear surface of the IC module is removed to form the surface cured layer and the concealing layer 3 is formed to a part having no surface cured layer 6. The optical card does not become unsightly because the rear surface of the IC module 2 is concealed by the concealing member 7 when the optical card is looked from the optical recording surface.
