PURPOSE: To improve recording density and to lessen the deterioration of recording by magnetic dusturbance by forming a pattern layer of pattern and gap parts and acting the same as an adhesive agent for an optical recording layer and protective layer.
CONSTITUTION: The pattern layer 3 formed by laminating the optical recording layer 2, the pattern layer 3 and the protective layer 4 on a substrate 1 consists of the patterns 5 formed previously in accordance with the information to the applied and the gap parts 6 enclosed by the pattern parts 5, the optical recording layer 2 and the protective layer 4. The pattern layer is also so constituted as to act as the adhesive agent to adhere the optical recording layer 2 and the protective layer 4 between these two layers. A material which does not allow transmission of light, for example, ink or the like which is naturally cured by heat or light is used as the material of the pattern layer 3. The material which is curable by UV rays, etc., is more preferable in terms of productivity. Addition of the fresh information to the already recorded information is possible and the high density recording is possible according to this constitution; in addition, the deterioration in the recording by the magnetic disturbance is decreased and the reliability is enhanced.
