Abstract:
To provide an optical communication component which is formed by fixing an optical fiber by caulking to a fixture, such as a ferrule, and which has high tensile strength.
The optical communication component is formed by fixing an optical fiber 2 to the fixture, such as a ferrule 1, by caulking. The tight contact length (the amount of caulking) of the fixture and a coated optical fiber 4 of the caulked portion is ≥0.1 mm.
