To provide the optical communication device which can connect optical transmission and reception modules by connecting ≥2 optical fiber cables without using any special adapter.
A female type optical connector 5 is provided on the side of an optical transmission module 4 and a male type optical connector 7 is provided on the side of a module 6 for optical reception; and a male type optical connector 2 provided on one end side of an optical fiber cable 1 is connected to the female type optical connector 5 of the optical transmission and reception module 4, a female type optical connector 3 is so constituted that it is connected to the male type optical connector 7 of the optical reception module 6, and then the optical transmission and reception modules 4 and 6 can be connected by connecting ≥2 optical fibers 1 without using any special adapter.
