To provide an optical component holder capable of washing/drying many optical components at a time without necessitating wiping work for which long-time training for an operator is indispensable and which requires high-degree skill, that is, when performing ultrasonic cleaning/spin drying of a compact optical component such as a hemispherical lens for a cellular phone, the optical component is stained or gets dirty, thereby depending on manual wiping work which requires such high-degree skill that the optical component is gripped with tweezers and dirt is wiped off by using cleaning paper.
The hemispherical lens is loosely held by a first holding hole having four projection parts in point-contact with its plane from a side having the plane, and is loosely held by a second holding hole having four projection parts whose surface has the shape of a part of its spherical surface from a side having the spherical surface. Then, the optical component is held to freely move on an optical component placing part without being fixed and is washed/dried, whereby drying free from stain or dirt caused by the spin drying is achieved.
