Abstract:
To provide a light emitting device using a sealing material composed of a polymer having a high light extraction efficiency.
The light emitting device is equipped with a light-emitting element and a sealing part in which the light-emitting element is sealed. The sealing part comprises a polymer that has one or more constituent units represented by the formula (1) (wherein R is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or a phenyl group; Y is a 1-6C alkyl group or a 1-6C alkyloxy group; and Z is an aromatic compound satisfying fixed conditions) and has a refractive index of 1.55.
