To provide a medical lens such as an intraocular lens and an optical component such as a spectacle lens, which can prevent a human body from being adversely affected and can exhibit prevention actions such as disinfection, sterilization or antibacterial action even when the lens is inserted in an eye by mistake or a baby, a child or an aged man of senile dementia licks a surface of the lens by mistake, in a state where various bacteria or microorganisms are stuck onto an AR(antireflection)-coat.
An antireflection coating is provided on the surface of an optical component and a bactericidal substance is provided on the antireflection coating. The bactericidal substance is N-(trimethoxypropyl)isothiouronium chloride, N-trimethoxysilylpropyl-N-alkyl-N-methylammonium chloride or N-trimethoxysilylpropyl-N-alkyl-N, N-dimethylammonium chloride.
