Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an optical connection device which can easily secure the non-reversible connection between the optical elements by providing these elements having the different optical paths by polarization, an optical system.
CONSTITUTION: An optical element, e.g. a Wollaston polarizing prism 4 having the different optical paths by polarized beams is provided in an optical system where the array optical devices 1a and 1b are connected to each other via two lenses 3. So that an optical element 2 set on the device 1a and the element 2 set on the device 1b emit beams with the polarized beams which are orthogonal to each other. In such a constitution, an optical path and its adverse optical path formed between both devices 1a and 1b are different from each other. Therefore the optical signals can be returned to the difference elements 2 of the same array optical device. Thus the non-reversible connection can be easily secured between both elements 2.
