To provide a cleaning tool by which an optical connector or an optical component in a housing can easily be cleaned surely and which has strong impact resistance.
This optical connector cleaning tool 1 is provided with a case-shaped body 10 and an insertion part 20 projected from the body 10. A feed reel 30 around which cleaning tapes 2A, 2B, 2C are wound and a take-up reel 31 for taking up/recovering used cleaning tapes 2A, 2B, 2C are installed rotatably in the body 10. A head member 23 having the tip surface enough to secure the abutting areas of cleaning tapes 2A, 2B, 2C on the connected end face of an optical connector is arranged in the insertion part 20. A rib 8, which is projected toward the outside of the peripheral part 30r of the feed reel 30 and used for preventing the dropout of cleaning tapes is arranged on the inside surface of the body 10.
