Abstract:
PURPOSE:To drastically reduce the communication discontinuing time by separating 1st and 2nd optical connectors from each other with a minute clearance, at which no trouble is given to communication, and causing the 1st optical connector and a 3rd optical connector to butt against each other by moving the 2nd and 3rd optical connectors together. CONSTITUTION:When the state where the 1st and 2nd optical connectors 11A and 11B are connected with each other is witched to another state where the 1st and 3rd optical connectors 11A and 11C are connected with each other, a minute clearance at which no trouble is given to the communication is created between the connectors 11A and 11B. Then the 1st and 3rd optical connectors 11A and 11C are caused to butt against each other by moving the 2nd and 3rd connectors 11A and 11C together or by moving the 1st connector 11A alone. Since the separating distance between the 1st and 2nd optical connectors 11A and 11B is reduced to such minute clearance, discontinuation of communication which has been produced in the conventional separating and butting operations of optical connectors can be eliminated and the communication discontinuing tie can be drastically reduced.
