Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical cross-connect device miniaturized by configuring a circuit, which is conventionally configured of a plurality of WSS switches (wavelength selection switches), with a single module.SOLUTION: The optical cross-connect device includes N sets of wavelength selection switching means which includes optical switch means, having N sets of light split means 101 connected to the input port of the device, for connecting a signal, having a desired wavelength at a desired port among input wavelength multiplex signals, to an output port of the device through space optical circuits 102, 103. The output port of each light split means 101 is either connected to the input ports of mutually different wavelength selection switching means, or directly formed to be the output port of the device. is made the output port of the direct device. The input port of each wavelength selection switching means is either connected to the output ports of mutually different light split means 101, or directly formed to be the input port of the device, or terminated inside the device.
