To provide an optical cross connection device capable of fixing the intensity of an optical signal inputted to an optical amplifier.
The optical cross connection device is provided with an optical preamplifier, demultiplexers 11, 14 for inputting wavelength multiplexed signal light, separating the wavelength of the signal light to plural wavelengths and outputting the wavelength separated signal light and a routing part 2 for routing and outputting the signal light of plural wavelengths separated by the demultiplexers 11, 14 to respective required output destinations. The routing part 2 is constituted of a control light generation part for generating control light corresponding to the signal light, a route switching means for switching the routes of the signal light of the plural separated wavelengths and outputting the signal light, an optical amplification means for amplifying each of signal light of plural wavelengths outputted from the route switching means, a control light insertion part for inserting the control light generated by the control light generation part into an output from the optical amplification means, and a wavelength selection means for selecting and outputting an output from the control light insertion part in each corresponding wavelength.
