Abstract:
To provide an optical device for lamp, which enhances the cooling efficiency, reduces noise, and brings no evil upon a cooling fan in an air flow passage even if, for example, a light emission tube bursts.
A space 3a in a lamp unit 3 composed of a lamp 1, a reflector 2, and explosion-proof glass 5 is spatially connected to a blast fan 6 through a sealed flow passage formed of an air tube 7 and a close contact air tube 8, to enhance the cooling efficiency and noise countermeasures. Further, the close contact air tube 8 is provided with a thin wall part which breaks when the lamp 1 bursts and air and fragments are made to flow out from there at the time of the bursting to protect the blast fan.
